When the first of the Obena-class ships launched from the Federation Shipyards, many saw it as the new figurehead of the Starfleet Engineers’ ingenuity. The class is able to not only take a battering, but to also bring the fight to the enemy when called upon to do so. Following the structural failure of the U.S.S. Archimedes (NCC-83002), under extraordinary circumstances, those same engineers took the bull by the horns and decided to develop new systems to make the ship even more robust.
This starship features a Commander Engineering/Miracle Worker specialist seat and a Lieutenant Commander Universal/Command specialist seat.
